A seasoned senior Executive Search & Talent Acquisition professional, Ken possesses breadth and depth of experience in senior executive search consulting, general management consulting, and corporate line and staff management. With over 25 years experience as Board Member, CEO/President, Executive Vice President, Managing Partner, and senior Executive Search Consultant, Ken has consulted and partnered with many industry leading client companies.
Ken began his consulting career with Cresap, McCormick and Paget, Inc. one of the original "big three" General Management consulting firms in New York. He was then recruited to Pepsi Cola Company as Director of Field Marketing and Distribution. Approached by the Chairman of Spencer Stuart, Ken joined the firm and became the youngest Vice-President & Principal in the history of the NY office. After 12 successful years with Spencer Stuart, Ken was recruited to Diversified Search Inc. in Philadelphia, PA where he spent the next three years as Executive Vice, President reporting to the Chairman & CEO. Ken then returned to New York as a Managing Director of the CEO recruiting firm of Haley Associates. In 1991, Ken founded Genesis Consulting Partners, a sole proprietorship which he ran as President & CEO until becoming Practice Leader - Executive Search & Talent Acquisition for J. F. Smith & Associates in 2010.
Ken's client work at Genesis mirrors the breadth and depth of his consulting and corporate experience. Assignments have included C Level Executive Search & Talent Acquisition, Organizational Audits, Succession Planning, and Management Appraisals. Ken's clients have also asked for his assistance in solving broader business problems including New Business Strategy Formulation, Industry Intelligence, Competitive Analysis, Merger & Acquisition Planning, Due Diligence, and Fund Raising for new ventures.
