J. F. SMITH & ASSOCIATES PRESIDENT IS INTERVIEWED AT MAIN LINE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE EVENT
FORT WASHINGTON, PA, February 15, 2013 - "Most funders expect nonprofits to have a strategic plan. That plan is living document. It should be reviewed at least quarterly and not left on the shelf.”
These were among the many key points that J. F. Smith & Associates’ (JFSA) President & CEO, Joel Smith, shared during an interview by Bernard Dagenais, Main Line Chamber of Commerce President and CEO. Mr. Smith also responded to a number of questions posed by the audience of nearly 50 nonprofit leaders and board members. Mr. Dagenais also shared some of his experiences during MLCC’s recent strategic planning process.
Important trends discussed included the growth of strategic partnerships and alliances and the need for innovation and greater creativity. Mr. Smith added, “Disruptive is a word that has been used in the commercial world for some time. It is now creeping into the discussion for nonprofits.”
JFSA’s Nonprofit Practice is focused on helping nonprofit leaders understand and holistically apply four critical elements of nonprofit capacity building: Governance, strategic planning, fundraising, and public relations.
