Finance and Accounting Practice Leader
Tom Aiken has more than 30 years of financial experience as
a CFO of public and venture-backed companies as well as a trusted business
consultant of private businesses and nonprofit organizations.
As a consultant, Tom has provided clients with such services
as developing strategic plans, budgets, financial policies, procedures and
internal controls; providing interim support of accounting and finance
organizations; directing pre-audit and audit preparation, systems
implementation and refinancing projects.
Tom has also assisted in IPO preparation, investor due diligence,
raising capital, liaison with banks and investors, and financial and
operational assessments. Additionally,
he has been involved in various turnarounds.
Industries that Tom has served include software,
manufacturing, nonprofit, medical devices, cleantech, social media, and
telecommunications.
Tom's corporate experience includes international mergers
and acquisitions, debt and equity creation, IPOs, treasury operations, global
accounting and financial system implementations, and various Securities and
Exchange Commission registrations and filings.
Tom has served on boards of directors and has had responsibility for
several multinational organizations.
Tom is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants.
He serves on the Board of the Mental Health Partners and is chair of the
Governance Committee and member of the Finance Committee. In 2015 Tom was nominated to the New Jersey
Technology Council CFO Hall of Fame. Previously Tom served as the Vice Chairman
of the Board, and Chair of the Audit Committee, of the Greater Philadelphia
Senior Executive Group. He has served as
a member of the Advisory Board of the Mid-Atlantic Diamond Ventures as well as
on boards and advisory boards of several public and private companies and is a
subject matter expert for the CleanTech Open.
Tom received a B.S. Business Administration from Virginia Southern
College.
